Death in the Community
Sep 13th, 2008 by Kris
What do you do when a user you didn’t know dies?
On one of the communities I recently took over a member died after a long battle with cancer. I’m the new kid there, I didn’t know him, but I’m also the company’s representative. I feel like I should say something, but I also feel like I’m intruding. I’m their third manager.
How would you handle it?
Everytime I turn around there’s more social media sites! “Hi, I’m a blog with an interesting article! Come find me on these 12 sites you’ve never heard of!”
So I’ve added:

http://www.reddit.com/user/kristeclectic/
http://kristeclectic.newsvine.com/
And my new favorite! http://kristeclectic.myplaxo.com/
It lets me check most of the other things all on one page. That is damned handy.
How quickly I’m becoming a convert and telling my friends they should join to get the word out about their projects. Rebel sheep say moo.
My external hard drive is failing at copying everything to the new HD. It’s also failing at canceling. Stupid computers.
